This presentation is a newly revised and expanded reconstruction of an exhibition that was created in 2004 based on Hubert Fromm’s book “Die Coburger Juden” (“The Coburg Jews”). The exhibition materials for the revision and design was made available for further use by the Initiative Stadtmuseum Coburg e.V. and the Evangelisches Bildungswerk Coburg e.V.
Initiator of this site
This site would not have come about without Rolf Schilling. The exhibition and the realization of the website were close to his heart.
Rolf was the team’s engine. He died before publication on August 8, 2020.
Sponsoring
The great response of the homepage among the descendants of Coburg Jews all over the world has encouraged us to put a version in English on the web as well. It is currently being prepared and is expected to be presented to the public in November of this year.
Without the support of the Sparkasse Coburg-Lichtenfelsand the city of Coburg, we would not have been able to commission the translation from a professional institute.
